The aim of the Institute is to start more Early Intervention Centers so that more infants and young deaf children can be helped to develop language and speech. The Institute approaches trusts and other organisations that are interested in helping infants and young deaf children. They are helped to establish Early Intervention Centers with trained teachers with the option of procuring the DHVANI Teaching Learning Material from Balavidyalaya.
Balavidyalaya also offers technical support via emails and visits, if needed.
In the year 2007, the State Government of Tamil Nadu started one Early Intervention Center in each district of Tamil Nadu, by enlisting Balavidyalaya’s help in the responsibility of training special educators for the centers. The centers are funded by the Government of Tamil Nadu, and managed by a NGO in each district.
